Venture Literary/Arts Magazine is Suffolk University’s annual student publication that strives to showcase the university’s talented writers and artists. Those interested in having their work considered for publication are encouraged to submit for our 2011-2012 edition.
Venture welcomes submissions including, but certainly not limited to: poetry, fiction, essays, non-fiction, short plays, song lyrics, drawings, photos (black & white or color), and other artwork.
All literature must be submitted in hard copy format as well as in electronic format (.doc) and must be accompanied by a filled-out submission agreement form in order to be considered for publication. Submission packets outlining the selecting and editing processes and agreement forms can be found on our SUConnect page under our documents section.
Literature submissions can be turned in at the Student Activities Office (Donahue 4th floor). Please send the electronic file of your literature to: SubmitToVenture@gmail.com, and include your name in the email. You do not need to submit the actual submission packet and you do not need to email the agreement form. Please only hand the agreement form in hard copy format.
All artwork must be submitted in digital form (.jpeg) and must be accompanied by the artist's name and contact information (current email address, mailing address and phone number). Please title your artwork if you have titles already in mind. All artwork should be emailed to: SubmitToVenture@gmail.com
Anonymous submissions will be considered for publication, but must be accompanied by contact information for editorial purposes.
If you are interested in becoming a staff member, we are accepting applications until Friday, September 23 at 11:59pm. You will need to email us in order to receive the application.
